Bonding
Bonding is a quick, painless in-office procedure to repair cracks, chips, gaps between teeth or cover stained teeth to enhance your smile. Bonding can often be done without anesthesia if there is no decay or pulp exposure. Hygiene
An Ounce of Prevention
The basis of sound dental care and keeping your teeth beautiful for a lifetime is routine hygiene and maintenance. We customize your professional hygiene treatments on the basis of your periodontal (gums and bone) health. Many people have infections in the gums and bone and don't even know it because it does not cause any pain. You can expect us to determine what is necessary to keep you healthy and infection-free before it's too late. We utilize medicated gels along with prescription mouth rinses in problem areas, if necessary. Ultrasonic instruments are sometimes used to make the procedure more comfortable and effective as well.
Getting What You Need
As your bodies age, your hygiene needs may vary over the course of your lifetime. We understand that every person is unique and this uniqueness must be accounted for to receive the care that is best for you. Some offices herd patients in and out when they are constrained by insurance networks and rushed for time. Some insurance companies also place restrictions on what they feel you need and how often you need it. Unfortunately, this will not keep you healthy and may mislead you to believe you are healthy.
Our commitment is to be as thorough as possible in everything we do. By being thorough, we can continually re-evaluate your hygiene needs and develop your personal plan necessary to maintain a lifetime of good health. Children and adults at high risk of dental decay may benefit from using additional fluoride products, including dietary supplements (for children who do not have adequate levels of fluoride in their drinking water), mouth rinses, and professionally applied gels and varnishes.
Schedule your reservation today to ensure a lifetime of good health through quality professional hygiene and maintenance.
Implants
When it comes to replacing one or more teeth in your mouth, a dental implant is often the treatment of choice and is also one of the most conservative treatments for tooth replacement. Implants are biocompatible posts that replace the roots of your missing teeth. They are physically and biologically designed to attach to your jaw bone and become the foundation for a natural looking restoration. Your new tooth or teeth will have excellent stability and strength, and will look and feel like your natural teeth. Our dentists have taken extensive advanced training in implant placement and restoration in order to give you the best possible smile. Schedule your reservation today to find out more.
Orthodontics - Invisalign / ClearCorrect / Candid
Improve Your Smile Without Braces
Invisalign , Candid, and ClearCorrect are all invisible clear retainer systems that allow us to straighten your teeth without having to use the brackets and wires of traditional braces. By using the latest in computer technology, we are able to forecast what your smile will look like before ever starting your treatment. By adjusting the final result digitally, we are able to obtain unsurpassed accuracy in designing your smile. This allows for a more beautiful smile with fewer appointments, fewer adjustments at the end of treatment, and digital scans instead of having to sit through getting impressions made. Studies show that every adjustment done toward the end of treatment adds 2-3 months of treatment time. As few as 4 adjustments would require up to a year more in treatment. Computer modeling allows us to fabricate aligners in the ideal location locked in for easier treatment. By cutting up to a year off your treatment time, and having fewer adjustments, you'll spend less time in the chair, have a more beautiful smile, and ultimately saving months of time in treatment. Now that it's easier than ever schedule your orthodontic consultation today to see how we can transform your smile.
Porcelain Veneers
We are proud to offer porcelain veneers as an option to help you achieve a healthier looking, more beautiful smile. Veneers are thin customized porcelain shells that bond directly to the front of your teeth, correcting stained, chipped, misaligned and crooked teeth or closing spaces between teeth. An excellent alternative to crowns, porcelain veneers are very conservative restorations requiring minimal reduction of the front surface of the tooth.
Veneers look incredibly natural and virtually undetectable to others. In addition to cosmetic superiority, one of the primary advantages of porcelain veneers is their resilience. This enamel-like porcelain material is strong, durable, long lasting and highly stain resistant, which makes porcelain veneers one of the best and most popular cosmetic procedures available. With proper care, your veneers will give you a flawless, confident smile for many years to come.
If you would like to schedule a consultation to find out if porcelain veneers are the best option for you, please contact our reservations specialist.
Sealants
Sealants should be used as part of a child's total preventive dental care. Dental sealants are thin coatings which are applied to the chewing surfaces of the molars (back teeth) to make it easier to clean those teeth thoroughly. Most tooth decay in children and teens occurs in these surfaces. Sealants cover the chewing surfaces to prevent decay. Applying sealants does not require drilling or removing tooth structure.
It is an easy three-step process: We clean the tooth with a special toothpaste. A special cleansing liquid on a tiny piece of cotton is rubbed gently on the tooth and is washed off. Finally, the sealant is placed on the tooth. It takes about a minute for the sealant to form a protective shield. Sealants should be checked regularly, and reapplied if they are no longer in place.
The PureCare Dental Difference
At PureCare Dental of Bend, we have noticed that the materials most commonly used have led to sealant failure and caused cavities they are intended to prevent. Our dental team has devised a way to make sure your child sealants last for a lifetime. After all, the teeth we are protecting should last for a lifetime, why shouldn't sealants as well? That's the PureCare Dental difference. Schedule your child for a lifetime of dental health today.
Sleep Apnea
Serious Sleep apnea is a life threatening condition during which a person stops breathing repeatedly throughout the night. During deep restful sleep (REM sleep) all muscles relax and the airway will close off in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The result is a poor night’s rest due to the body waking up all night struggling for breath. Long term complications include high blood pressure and other cardiovascular disease, memory problems, weight gain, impotency, and headaches. Untreated sleep apnea may be responsible for relationship difficulties, job impairment, and motor vehicle crashes.
Why the Dental Office?
Sleep apnea is very common and affects more than twelve million Americans, according to the National Institute of Health. Risk factors include being male, overweight, and over the age of forty, but sleep apnea can strike anyone at any age - even children. A vast majority of sleep apneics remain undiagnosed due to lack of awareness by the public and healthcare professionals. As members of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), we at PureCare Dental of Bend are committed to providing the best healthcare possible. This extends beyond fixing teeth. It includes whole body health. We will screen for sleep apnea in all of our patients. If we don’t ask the questions, who will save your life? We can also provide treatment for sleep apnea using the latest in dental appliance therapy.
Do you hate CPAP? Click here to watch a video about your oral appliance options.
The most effective means of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) treatment is with the use of CPAP (continuous positive airway pressurization). For those who have not experienced CPAP, just imagine sticking your nose out the window of your car at 65 mph. Ram air. Unfortunately, statistics will show that 50% of CPAP devices will be in the closet after three weeks of use, never to return. For those who cannot tolerate CPAP, oral appliance therapy at PureCare Dental of Bend may be the answer. Schedule a consultation today to start living a longer healthier life.

Tooth-Colored Fillings
Tooth-colored or composite fillings have always presented a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional silver amalgam fillings. However, due to evolving technology, they are now also stronger and more durable than their metallic counterparts. Indeed, a small filling may last a lifetime without ever requiring repair, while larger fillings should last for many years with appropriate care.
Moreover, composite fillings are very conservative restorations requiring removal of only the decayed part of the tooth, preserving the healthy tooth structure intact. Plus, tooth-colored fillings feel and function more like your natural teeth, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with increased confidence and comfort.
